Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how American Hand Converter ("we", "us") handles information in connection with our website and the American Hand Converter desktop software (together, the "Services"). We keep data collection to a minimum.
1. Information we collect
Website
- Order information. When you buy a license, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email, and payment details to process the transaction. We receive your name and email and a payment confirmation; we do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Support messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.
- Analytics & cookies. With your consent we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage. See our Cookie Policy.
Desktop software
- Runs locally. The software reads poker hand data on your computer to build hand histories for your tracker. This processing happens on your machine.
- No gameplay data sent to us. We do not receive your hands, opponents, results, or screen names.
- License validation. License keys are verified offline on your device. A key may include a machine identifier so it can be locked to one computer; that identifier is derived on your device and is not a precise personal identifier.
2. How we use information
- To process orders and deliver license keys.
- To provide customer support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process order and support data to perform our contract with you, use analytics based on your consent, and rely on legitimate interests to secure and improve the Services.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Services (for example, Stripe for payments and our hosting and email providers), and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
We retain order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, and support messages for as long as needed to assist you. You may request deletion (see below).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@americanhandconverter.com.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
