No HUD on ClubWPT Gold? Use This DriveHUD Report to Find Your Biggest Leak Instead
Why post-session study matters more on ClubWPT Gold
ClubWPT Gold doesn't allow on-screen HUDs, so you don't get live reads on opponents' 3-bet or fold-to-c-bet numbers while you play. That's fine — it just shifts the work to after the session. The players who improve fastest on club apps aren't the ones guessing at stats mid-hand; they're the ones who mine their own database afterward and fix one leak at a time.
The single most useful report for this is the Fold to 3-Bet by Position breakdown, and it takes about ten minutes to run once your hands are imported.
Set up the filter
In your database, build a filter for hands where:
- You were the preflop raiser
- An opponent 3-bet you
- You were in the hand facing that 3-bet (any position)
Then split the results by your position: early, middle, late, and blinds. You're looking at two numbers per position — how often you folded, and how often you 4-bet versus called.
What the numbers should look like
As a rough guide, most solid regulars fold to 3-bets somewhere in the 45-60% range overall, with folds trending higher from early position (where 3-bets are stronger) and lower from the button or blinds (where opponents 3-bet lighter). If your fold-to-3-bet number is sitting above 65-70% from any position, that's a real leak — aggressive club-app regulars will start 3-betting you relentlessly once they notice it, even without a HUD, just from playing you a few dozen times.
The flip side matters too. If your fold rate is unusually low (under 35%) from early position, you're probably calling too many 3-bets out of position with hands that play poorly postflop, and that shows up as a slow bleed in your win-rate graph rather than one obvious bad beat.
Drill down into the actual hands
Once you spot a position where the number looks off, don't stop at the stat — open the hand histories behind it. Ask three questions for each one:
- Was my opening range too wide for a spot where I get 3-bet a lot?
- Did I fold hands that had enough equity or blockers to continue?
- Was I flatting 3-bets with hands that can't defend the board well?
Patterns usually jump out fast. A lot of players discover they're folding suited broadways too often from the blinds, or that they're calling 3-bets with offsuit hands that have no business seeing a flop out of position.
Turn it into a session routine
A simple weekly routine works well for club-app volume:
- Import the week's hands.
- Run the fold-to-3-bet-by-position report.
- Flag the one position with the worst-looking number.
- Review 15-20 of those hands.
- Write down one adjustment (a range tweak, not a vague "play better").
Repeat the next week with a fresh stat — 3-bet pots won at showdown, or c-bet success by board texture, for example. Fixing one leak per week compounds fast over a few months of volume.
Why this matters more without a live HUD
On platforms that allow overlays, players sometimes lean on live stats as a crutch and skip the deeper review. ClubWPT Gold's no-HUD rule actually pushes you toward better habits — you're forced to understand your ranges rather than react to a number on screen mid-hand. The tradeoff is that your database becomes your only feedback loop, so it needs to be complete and accurate.
That starts with capturing every hand you play. If you're grinding on the app and importing into DriveHUD 2 or 3 for this kind of review, a dedicated ClubWPT Gold tracker that converts hands into a DriveHUD-compatible format keeps your sample sizes honest — missing sessions or partial hand histories will quietly distort exactly the kind of position-based stats this routine depends on.
Check the setup guide if you're getting your import pipeline running for the first time, and treat this fold-to-3-bet review as the first fixed leak in a longer study habit, not a one-time fix.
